For more than four decades, Rob’s work has centred on one question: what does this individual player need next?
That question guided the long-term development of juniors, national champions, national-team athletes and PGA Tour players. It now guides a broader mission—to give coaches the context, systems and support required to make better decisions for every player they serve.
This is not a departure from coaching. It is the next expression of it.
Built Through Long-Term Player Development
Rob’s coaching history is a story of developing players over years rather than chasing short-term fixes—understanding biological, physical, mental, technical and environmental context together.
That work included mentoring players through junior golf, national competition, college and professional golf, and learning that great outcomes come from better decisions made consistently over time. The person and the development journey matter more than isolated data.
PGA of Canada Class “A” professional, a PGA of Canada National Teacher of the Year and a Golf Digest World Top 75 International Teacher. His career has centred on long-term player development, including extended coaching relationships with players who progressed from junior golf to national success and the PGA Tour—including Nick Taylor and Adam Svensson.

About Rob Houlding
Rob Houlding is a PGA of Canada Class “A” professional whose career has been devoted to long-term player development. Recognized as a PGA of Canada National Teacher of the Year and a Golf Digest World Top 75 International Teacher, Rob has spent more than four decades helping young players progress through junior, national, collegiate and professional golf.
His experience convinced him that the next advancement in coaching would not come from collecting more disconnected data. It would come from giving coaches the context required to understand the complete player. That belief led to Coaching in Context™ and the creation of GolfCoachOS—a connected ecosystem designed to support better coaching decisions, stronger coaching businesses and healthier long-term player development.
